Hermes 2s compete in the Leinster League Division 2 and the Irish Junior Cup.
Coached by Helen Kilroy and Captained by Aisling McGuire the Hermes 2s had a very good 2010/2011 season coming 3rd in the Leinster League, only one point behind the second placed team. In the Irish Junior Cup we were disappointed to be knocked out in the 2nd round following a sudden-death penalty shoot out against Railway Union after a hard fought 1-1 draw.
The Hermes 2s have won the Irish Junior Cup on four occasions in 1979, 2002, 2006 and 2009 and have consistently competed at the top of Division 2 over the years.
The team has a blend of upcoming young talent and more experienced players and we hope to build on last year’s performance and look forward to the challenge of the 2011/2012 season.
